Engage
Local residents and schools from tribes and communities throughout North Dakota chose to participate in message creation through the sharing of personal stories, participating in coloring contests and creating and acting in TV and radio ads.
Entertain
We used a variety of methods to deliver the message in an entertaining way. Up2Me activity books and key chains were given to school-aged kids. Animated characters were created to air on GoodHealthTV™. The Up2Me website offers people a chance to create a personalized calendar with their own image inserted.
Educate
By saturating each community with a variety of products and media using the simple messages "It’s up to me", "buckle up every time" and "never drink and drive" the campaign’s intent is to create a high level of visibility that empowers individuals to make positive choices.
